Among the many color diets there is one with a funny name “streetlight”. The diet is easy to use, safe for health and quite effective. And yet gives wide scope for culinary imagination.
The main condition of “traffic lights” – consumption of certain food colors. Yes, you guessed it, just those three colors of traffic lights, which can be found at almost any crossroads: red, yellow and green.
Undoubted advantage of this diet: it does not include severe restrictions on the amount or frequency of meals. You can snack at least 5-6 times a day and will experience the feeling of hunger that occurs on the background of many hard diets (the famine is often caused disruption of food during food restrictions).
Just three days.
We choose three days a week, which will have products of only one traffic light colors. For example, on Monday in our menu tomatoes, red cabbage, red Bulgarian pepper, beets, red onion, red kidney beans. Do not forget about fruit: strawberries, currants, cherries, red grapes and apples, pink grapefruit and oranges “orange”. If desired, you can wash down all this red wine, but dry, as it is less than total calories. And, of course, tea from rose hips.
The next day, switch to yellow. We will approach yellow lentils, corn (better, fresh or frozen, not canned), yellow pepper, pumpkin, carrots, egg yolk. For desserts and snacks using yellow apples and grapes, yellow cherries and citrus fruits and juices are better fresh.
Finally, the products of the Green Day – a young cabbage and Chinese cabbage, lettuce, spinach and sorrel, green onions and leeks, green beans and peas, cucumbers, all is green linnet. And, of course, kiwi, gooseberries, green apples, pears, grapes. And we drink, of course, green tea.
The remaining four days of the week we eat a variety of food, and next week you can again “light traffic light. Thus, three days a week are vegetarian and unloading. In addition, the “traffic light” days provide us with vitamins, trace elements, and most importantly – high in fiber, which is usually lacking in the diet of modern man, especially the city dweller.
Fiber – eliminates toxins from the body, normalizes intestinal microflora, helps cleanse the skin, is important for preventing many diseases.
Do not expect that a single application of the “traffic light” instantly returns you to harmony. Lucky people with a good metabolism may lose up 1,5 kg, but this can not be called a true weight loss, because the transition to a regular diet the weight will return. Therefore, the “traffic light” recommend the use of long-term (you can even continuously), with no need to fear any violation in the process of metabolism, often occurring on the background of other restrictive diets. The alternation of “colored” and ordinary days can generally create a balanced diet for a week.
If you have difficulty withstanding the “color” days in a row, you can use a diet every other day, for example: Monday – Red Day, Tuesday usual, Wednesday - Yellow Day Thursday – the usual, Friday – green, and on weekends – holidays, including from the diet.
And finally, the most important point. The effectiveness of “traffic lights” will depend not only on how strictly you adhere to a diet of “colored” days, but from what you eat during the ordinary.
To balance the diet, in ordinary days find the place of meats and fish, low-fat dairy products, cereals, “correct” pasta from durum wheat as well as vegetables and fruits were not in the “color”.

Note: the list includes only those products for which red, yellow and green colors are В natural color. Why are we not included in the list meat it is red too? Slimming world RED DAY Diet.
Breakfast: “Stewed red beans”
Red Beans – 200g
Tomatoes – 2 pcs.
Bulgarian red pepper – 1 pc.
Tomato paste – 2 tbsp. l.
Tabasco sauce – 1 / 6 tsp
1. Soak red beans in the day, then change the water and boil until almost cooked.
2. Once again, change the water (now add boiling water) and simmer on low heat.
3. Put the finished beans in a saucepan, add the diced tomatoes and peppers, tomato paste, Tabasco sauce. Put out under the cover another 5 minutes.
Lunch: “veggie soup”
Beetroot – 1pc.
Red cabbage – 100 g
Onions Red – 1 pc.
Bulgarian red pepper – 1 pc.
Tomatoes, canned – 1-2 pc.
Wigs – 1 tbsp. l.
Chili pepper – 1 tsp.
1. Cut beets into cubes, fill it with water, put on fire. After 10 minutes, add shredded cabbage.
2. Cut the onions finely and pepper coarsely. 1-2 tomato cleaned from skin and chop.
3. Add all the ingredients of the soup, season with pepper and chilli, cook until done.
Dinner: Salad “Red Sunset”
Tomatoes – 3 pc.
Bulgarian red pepper – 1 pc.
Onions Red – 1 / 2 pcs.
Wine vinegar – 2 tbsp. l.
1. Cut 2 fresh tomatoes, sweet peppers and red onion.
2. Squeeze the juice from a tomato. Fill it with tomato juice salad. You can, for a change in another day of red wine vinegar salad refuel.
Slimming world YELLOW DAY Diet.
Breakfast: “porridge with raisins”
Millet – 1 / 4 cup
Yellow Raisins – 1 handful
Butter – 1 / 2 tsp.
1. Rinse millet, put in a saucepan and pour over the brim with water.

1. Take everything you can find handy green: cabbage, cucumbers, lettuce, green peppers, canned peas.
