Products that are named herbal slimming tea usually produce one or more of the following actions:
1) laxative
2) diuretic
3) appetite suppressant
All three types of actions lead to some weight loss, at least at the beginning. However, they are poor choices for healthy, sustained, safe weight loss.
In fact, their labeling is deceptive and their actions can be quite dangerous when you consider what they actually do, how sustained the weight loss is and what they cause the body to do.
1. Popular herbal slimming teas contain laxative herbs, usually senna. Herbal slimming teas increase bowel movements. So you lose fecal matter and some water along with it. Of course, increased bowel movements will lead to some weight loss but not fat loss. The little weight loss will probably be temporary as bowel functioning returns to normal. But worse is that the regular use of teas can lead to dependence. So you can be sluggish and weak.
2. Other popular tea for weight loss act as diuretics (release water). You must remember that they are also effective in the short run. If you lose water you will weigh less, at least for a short while. But as you return to normal, the weight will come right back. Of course both laxative and diuretic teas cause no fat loss which is what most dieters are really after.
Of serious concern, losing water can lead to any level of physical dehydration. This can lead to fatigue, decreased productivity, irritability.
The best way to release excess water is to drink more water. This signals to your body that it’s okay to release pooled water that has already done its work.
3. Certain slimming teas suppress the appetite which leads to some weight loss. They are not terribly safe. They also result in anxiety, sleeplessness and heart palpitations.
All of the above disadvantages of weight loss teas does not mean that instances of herbal slimming tea should forget once and for all. Just need to comply with the terms of their admission and, most importantly, to distinguish high-quality tea from the poor. Rule one: keep the measure and calculate the self. In any case, purifying tea may be only part of the correct weight and not its foundation.
When you tea combines the pharmacy, you should not rely on the price – good product is not necessarily expensive. You need always to consider carefully the packing. It must be all the necessary information: name and address of the manufacturer, an indication of the hygiene certificate, expiration date, full list of ingredients, admission, pharmacological effects, contraindications.
If the producers promise to not only cleanse the body, but also a “fat burning”, incidentally suggesting getting rid of all chronic disease is on its reception, you will most likely only get in trouble. The same applies to tea, which “fits all”. In addition, you should be up one’s ears unusual reception conditions: for example, required to drink tea regularly over a period of several months, several times a day, or use almost half of the stack to receive. So, to tea for weight loss should be treated very demanding and with great caution. In order not to harm the body.
