Green diet invented and made a very popular American dietitians. The basic principle of nutrition in the green diet – eat green vegetables and green fruits. According creators of green diet – weight loss occurs due to negative calories. That is, this food during digestion requires a major effort of the whole organism, and thus, it spends more calories in the processing of food, what it contains. It is this assertion green diet became so popular and popularly loved.
But as explained doctors, this statement is a bit untrue. And the effect, that is, getting rid of extra pounds is due to the fact that green food is mostly non-starchy, low-calorie, carbohydrate, and at the same time contains a large amount of fiber.
Diet for a green diet should consist primarily of the following fruits and vegetables – green apples, cucumbers, green peppers, courgettes, kiwi, lettuce, parsley, dill, spinach, onion, asparagus, cabbage, etc.
You can use small amounts of eggs, fish, seafood, chicken, soy and legumes. That is, foods rich in protein and essential fatty acids.
Green diet menu:
Breakfast consists of a cup of green tea, 100 grams of nonfat cottage cheese or yogurt or one egg and apple, kiwi or grapes.
Second breakfast must consist of the salad of fresh green vegetables, seasoned with olive oil. Salts are used to a minimum. Vary the herbs and vegetables in a salad.
Lunch. For lunch, eat 200 grams of boiled chicken or boiled fish. Salad of green vegetables.
At the 1 st, 4 th, 7 th and 9 th days for lunch, young stewed zucchini, green onions and dill.
Snack. You can prepare salad vegetables or fruit desserts, from a variety of fruit flavored low-fat yogurt.
Dinner. For dinner prepare steamed zucchini.
At the 1 st, 4 th, 7 th and 9 th days of 200 grams of boiled chicken or boiled fish. Salad of green vegetables.
At night you can drink a glass of nonfat kefir.
The duration of such a diet – 10 days.
If you feel hungry between-meal eating, you can eat an apple, kiwi or grapes.
Try as much as possible to drink green tea, because it speeds up the metabolism, breaks down fats and perfectly clean of toxins.
Green diet not only helps you lose weight, but also fully saturated with vitamins and microelements.
